Leisure Days RV Group Accessibility Policy & Statement
Effective Date: 2024-11-20 Last Updated: April 29, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Leisure Days RV Group is committed to ensuring digital accessibility and physical inclusion for everyone. We strive to provide a barrier-free environment for our customers, employees, and visitors across our Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia locations. Our approach is guided by the principles of dignity, independence, integration, and equality of opportunity.
2. Digital Accessibility Standards
To provide an inclusive online experience, we aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
-
Native Compliance: Our accessibility efforts focus on native code compliance. We ensure our websites work seamlessly with the assistive technologies—such as screen readers and voice recognition software—that our users already rely on.
-
No Widgets Required: We have designed our websites to be compatible with the native tools built into your browser and operating system. We prioritize clean code over third-party widgets to ensure a faster, more secure, and more reliable experience for all users.
3. How to Adjust Your View
If you have difficulty reading or navigating our site, you can use these standard browser and operating system shortcuts:
-
Zoom In/Out: * Windows: Press Ctrl and + to zoom in, or Ctrl and - to zoom out.
-
Mac: Press Cmd and + to zoom in, or Cmd and - to zoom out.
-
-
Reset Zoom: Press Ctrl + 0 (Windows) or Cmd + 0 (Mac).
-
High Contrast Mode: Our sites respect your operating system’s settings. Enable "High Contrast Mode" in your Windows or macOS Accessibility Settings, and our website will automatically adjust.
-
Keyboard Navigation: Use the Tab key to move through interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) and the Enter key to select or activate them.
4. Accessible Customer Service (In-Store)
-
Assistive Devices: We ensure our staff are trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our showrooms, service bays, or parts departments.
-
Service Animals & Support Persons: Service animals are welcome in all areas of our premises open to the public. Customers accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person present during all sales and service interactions.
-
Notice of Temporary Disruption: In the event of a disruption to accessible facilities (e.g., elevators or accessible washrooms), we will provide notice at the location and online, including the reason for the disruption and its anticipated duration.
5. Employment & Training
-
Inclusion: Leisure Days RV Group is an equal opportunity employer. We accommodate disabilities during recruitment and throughout the employment lifecycle.
-
Staff Training: All employees receive training on provincial accessibility laws (including AODA and the Nova Scotia Accessibility Act) and the Human Rights Code. This includes instructions on how to interact with people with various types of disabilities.
6. Multi-Year Planning & Maintenance
As part of our digital transformation, we maintain a multi-year accessibility plan. We perform regular audits of our inventory listing pages (ILPs) to ensure alt-text is present on vehicle images and that financing forms are fully navigable by screen readers.
